I removed both of them from the list

Yeah, I took that down. Thanks for the heads-up. Personally--and this is just me sounding off, it's not my list and I don't make the rules--I have little patience with books that show up on our lists without even a working title, let alone a blurb or a cover. His wasn't the only one. There are a few just on page 1 here. And I know that for some people, the name of the author is all it takes for them to know they want to read it. I have probably a dozen authors I feel that way about. But...yeah. You get my drift.
The system found and removed 2 duplicates also.
Donna wrote: "I have little patience with books that show up on our lists without even a working title, let alone a blurb or a cover...."Oh I totally agree...
In the case of Trevor Noah's book I had voted for it because it did have an expected 2021 publishing date. Co-vid has clearly changed that. I try not to vote for books until they have a publishing date/year for that reason. I definitely have authors that I'll read their next book without knowing anything about it.
The description says that 2021 should be the year of "original publication", so I'm not sure if "The Devil's Pawn" belongs on this list; the German original was published in 2019.

"Wolves" - nope, not the third Anne Rice in her brilliant wolf series. And "Vampires" - no, not another Rice vampire novel...but oh I just watched the criminally under-rated film version of "Interview With The Vampire" and am going to write a letter of complaint to my GOVERNOR, the one and only De Santis....you know, the Florida governor who will raid your home if you say something he doesn't like. Yikes. LOVE YOU RICK DE SANTIS! REALLY! I don't have a date tonight and the incense is burning....
Hi!#444 - "Bring Me Back" by B.A. Paris was originally published in 2018 - I read the ARC for it back then (April 2018).

Removed.
I'm not touching it because it's not my list and there are over 100 votes for it, but I question the inclusion of the Untitled book by Alex Stern, which has no release date. The system found and removed 5 duplicates.
The Bride Bet has been postponed according to Tessa Dare’s site - it might come out before the new 2024 publication date, but it’s not likely to come out in 2021.

I had an e-mail from Amazon a while ago (I'd pre-ordered it but my order was cancelled). I've removed it from the list.

So, so many books on this list that came out years ago. Does anyone know why?I thought maybe they were being re-released, but not that I could find, in addition at the top of the list in the discription it says Original Publication Date of 2021.
😕😯🤔

The listmaker's criteria are quite clear. 2021 for first pub date or out they go. I'm going to clean up the first couple pages, but if you see others that need to come down, please list the title and # or at least what page it's on, and I'll fly in on my broomstick and make them disappear.
First up: The Outlands, published 12/20, removed.

Next up, we have 2 titles right here on page 1 that have NO publication date. There is a distinction between books being published in 2021 and we can't wait, and books being published at some point that we can't wait for, and we're waiting in 2021. If those books were coming out in 2021, we'd have a date by now, and down they come.
The Untitled book by Alex Stern, no pub date, removed.

What gets into people that makes them insert every book in their favorite series into a list that clearly excludes them? Why not go find a list that's appropriate? Maybe there are bookworms out there that kick back on a Friday night, kill a bottle of wine (or worse) and then head to their computer to vote on lists. SMH
But wait! There are more.

I have no doubt there are many more, but I believe the first two and last two pages are clean.
The ones I remember off the top of my head wereThe Princess Bride
A bunch of Jane Yellowrock from early in the series.
A few from this series Undone by Rachel Caine, possibally all 4. (#1004, 1012, 1018 & 996)
I also noticed one by Devon Monk that can out in 2020, but I do not remember what it was. (Wayward Souls #937)

I need locations. I'm not going to comb all 10 pages. If you see them again, please make a note here.

I added the ones I have found to my message 25
I found a few of the Jane Yellowrock books at 567, but I think more are around.
If I find more as I use this list over the next week, I will post location number and title for you.

I'll continue to provide janitorial services (taking out the trash) on this list till Thanksgiving, and at that point, I'll figure we aren't really looking forward to 2021 anymore, what with it being pretty much over, and I'll transfer my energies to the 2022 list or lists. Cheers!

...and so, wouldn't you know it, the one and only title I didn't find was The Princess Bride. I wonder if someone else zapped it and didn't document it?
I'll come back later to have another look around, but this is it for tonight.
Went looking for the The Princess Bride found it on page 5 at #422 with 3 votes
Also noticed this one still around
