Kistopher Langdon Thanks looking forward to all these good reads. Keep this list updated!
Cattleya is also releasing her second part of the trilogy The Black Shade of White:Destiny this year. Will add it to the list once she adds it to her profile.

message 2: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Why is The Winds of Winter on here??? We all know that GRRM will never get this published; at least not in the next 3-5 years. *rolls eyes*

Suaad (I just want a cat) FYI, The Seventh Perfection by Daniel Polansky is already released on September 2020

message 4: by Cathy (last edited Dec 06, 2020 01:37PM) (new)

Cathy Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews is on the list twice...

message 5: by Cathy (new)

message 6: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Hernandez thank you for including me :3

message 7: by Viscious (new)

Viscious Alecto the Ninth is scheduled for 2022, I believe

message 8: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Why is it, that the creators of these lists are never on GR to answer questions or to actually edit the list???

message 9: by Janet (new)

Janet Martin I really HATE that folks are allowed to enter "untitled" prospective books. They are usually from popular authors and take up spots at the front of the list and rarely get merged when publishers enter the actual titled versions. Wait a few weeks or months until the books are actually scheduled--the good ones will make it to the top anyway.

I get less annoyed with folks who get future publishing dates wrong, because that often has to do with publishers moving things back and forth--it's easy to enter something one day and then see it's been postponed a few weeks later. But I would like to see easy ways to delete those in those cases.

Janet Martin Alondra wrote: "Why is it, that the creators of these lists are never on GR to answer questions or to actually edit the list???"

I created a list last year, and then never figured out how to edit it. I'm a "librarian," but neither that nor "ownership" seemed to be enough to actually delete anything, even when one of those entries was a book I entered that was originally scheduled for 2020, but got postponed into 2021.

ime, this really doesn't cause any longterm problems. What typically happens is that the (initially) untitled entries get synned to the later entries when those are added to GR. Though there may be multiple versions of the same book on the list for a while, they'll get merged the next time a librarian runs a duplicate check on the list.

(Duplicate checks are very easy to run, and they need to be done on a semi-regular basis in any case because people don't always check what's already on the list and just add the version of a book that's on their shelf, which might be the paperback or hardback or audiobook or ebook, etc. version.)

Seriously!?? Mmmm, so it is not an easy edit like when you make challenge lists in groups, or ask questions in GR Librarians.

I think I may make a list and fiddle with it.

Thanks for the info, Janet

Mark Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn #7 is set for 2022. https://www.brandonsanderson.com/stat...

I wish they would somehow amend the settings for list creators, so that they can edit (fix, delete, etc) their own lists. Granted, it would be limited abilities, however a list creator really wouldn't need many options, and it would alleviate this particular function from Librarians that already have full plates. I'm kind of surprised that list creators haven't had that ability all along.

message 15: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Moreno-Garcia Please remove Velvet Was the Night from this list. It's not fantasy or sf. Thanks.

message 16: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Silvia wrote: "Please remove Velvet Was the Night from this list. It's not fantasy or sf. Thanks."

I don't think it can be removed. We've been discussing the ability to edit/delete entries in error.

You may have to go through GR Librarians or support

Alison (Lady Coffin) S Sword Catcher (Sword Catcher #1) by Cassandra Clare
says Expected publication: 2022 by Del Rey/Random House

So was wondering why it was included on here?

message 18: by Nick (new)

Nick I removed Mistborn #7, Sword Catcher, Alecto the Ninth, and Ruby Fever based on current 2022 publication dates.

No idea why all librarians don't have access to that, but if someone replies with anything else I can remove.

message 19: by Janet (new)

Janet Martin River of Teeth, published in 2017, is entered twice--#415 and #445
