Yep, I found last year that I had to put something, anything, on the "over 35s" list for 2019, so I just put something from my currently reading. (Learned the hard way after the list disappeared.)

Just added the first one I will finish in 2020. I doubt it will stay in my top 5 as the year progresses (on pg 66, not great so far :-( ). Happy New Year to you :D
Penny wrote: "Just added the first one I will finish in 2020. ...."The idea is to finish a book before you add it... You said 'will finish', so I'm assuming you haven't finished it so far? (You also mentioned you were on page 66)
I see you've removed it. In my yearly list I allow people to add the first book that they will definitely finish in the year so that they can easily bookmark the list. My apologies for the assumption that others allow it.
@PennyApologies accepted 🙂
To 'bookmark' the list, no book has to be added, as far as I know (I've bookmarked many other websites, and none where I added something)
I only do it if I'm starting the list, so it actually sticks. (There's a bot to remove empty lists.)
I think there is a slight confusion over the word 'bookmark'... I took it to mean 'bookmark' as you added it to your webbrowser, a 'favourite', as it is also called in certain webbrowsers.
Finding Identity doesn't have a large group promoting it (yet) but one of the people voting claims to have been born in different decades and read it in different years in order to put it on multiple lists. So I'd say that one's definitely spam.
Removed The Blindspots Between Us. Promotional author spam being added to dozens of different lists.

Haha, it's never-ending!Removed Chaos and Grime. Promotional author campaign currently spamming this title onto a million different lists.
Damn it, Syrian Brides spam is in the number one spot, and the spammers also put fake votes for other books that they obviously haven't read, thus skewing the whole list.
Well, not much I could do about the second half of that equation, but I deleted Syrian Brides, anyway.
It's too bad. I think this is their newest tactic to make it look like they're legitimate voters, but obviously everyone can still tell it's spam.
Looks like Lynessa Layne has struck again and how interesting that her books are not in the top spots.
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "Such a shame. /s"Yes it is - I have even had two nasty comments from one of her followers because I have added her books to lists that refer to spamming and when I added some books to a list full of her followers just to see what would happen.
Looks like a new spammer has arrived, books by Widad Akreyi.Three titles all added by the same three people.
Lynessa Layne is back, too.

Why oh why must these people do this to the lists?
I think a fundamental lack of understanding how Listopias, and the people who vote on them, work plays a large part of it. Add in authors desperate to get their books "noticed" and/or devoted fangirls, and you have a problem.

It just spoils it when the same books appear on the top 1,2 or now 3 of so many lists and the people voting for them are I suspect made up/and or fake profiles.
Removed Returning to the Office and Leading Hybrid and Remote Teams, promotional author spam by Gleb Tsipursky.
