Let's face it: we're living in odd times. But we must keep reading. So let's list what we are reading during this stressful time. Maybe we can find new books, inspire each other.
Some rules:
1. only books read during the Virus time.
2. No Spam. Seriously. Not now.

Hi Jennifer, when do you consider the start of the virus as each Country has declared different lockdown dates?

Tricky, so I will just start from the book I am currently reading as my workplace has closed down so I am now at home reading. :)
Chaos and Grime and The Thing About Alice are promotional author spam. Jennifer, do you want those removed?
Wow, Chaos and Grime: A Year in the Life of a Chinese City is all over lots and lots of Goodreads lists - so much for people not spamming. What a shame these lists are spammed, those that do it really should take a look and themselves and feel ashamed.
No prob, I removed Chaos and Grime and The Thing About Alice. Everything else looks ok for right now. Let me know if you spot anything dodgy.
apparently Gleb Tsipursky AKA the King of Spam has the number 2 book Resilience: Adapt and Plan for the New Abnormal of the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic. If a librarian could remove it that wold be great.Again, no Spam.

They endured similar during The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History and also during the Black Death long ago. More died during the 1918 Pandemic!
So just when things were looking a little bit more normal, here I am once again adding to this list thanks to being put back into Lockdown Stage 3 for Lockdown 2.0. Just as well I was able to get hold of more books to read.

True, I think that there is always a silver lining not matter what the situation. One for me it is more guilt free reading time and I will well and truly read more than 100 books in 2020.

Lockdown 2.0 is just so frustrating as things were slowly getting back on track for many of us. Then there were several major outbreaks and more reported active cases than there was during the first Lockdown so the City went back into Stage 3.

We are told that the after effects for people who have actually recovered, can be life-changing... physical and neurological side effects. This is surely one hell of a problem for the world - let's hope our best scientific brains can soon come up with a vaccine!
It really is a terrible, terrible thing and has had such a major effect on the world as we know it. The impact it has had on lives and economies is just almost unbelievable. Like you Ruth I hope that a vaccine will soon be available.
Hope I didn’t sound too flippant in my last post- I know it’s scary times so I try to find humor in things...
I didn't think so Jennifer. While these are scary, weird and for many terrible times I try to have a laugh and still keep up my sense of humor as it helps me to stay sane. For the brief time I was allowed to go to work between the first and second Lockdowns myself and other staff looked for silver linings to the situation and we were all able to find some. It just worries me what a huge impact this has had on our World.
I'm in The Netherlands and it seems to be getting better here although there is a very slight rise in the number of Corona patients...
I am so pleased to see that things have slowly improved for many countries around the world and that the number of cases and patients has slowed down.
Spamed again Jennifer - Books 1 & 2 by Lynessa Layne are all over lots and lots of lists and the people voting for them all seem to have 0 friends (or no more than 5 friends). I call Spam on these two books.
Removed the Lynessa Layne books. They're being spammed all over Listopia. I think there's more spam in the top 10, too.
Seriously - Lynessa Layne books on this list again! One at one the 14 and the other at one of the 39.
