We all (hopefully) have a passion for literature and have dedicated our professional lives to spreading that love to our students. Sometimes, though, our curriculum gets in the way of reading for pleasure and that's probably not very healthy. This group is intended to support and challenge each other to read for fun (a novel idea!) and increase our own mental well-being.
In this group, we will be intentional about reading for pleasure and recording our favorite titles that we've read during the 2020 calendar year.
1. Books should be read in the 2020 calendar year.
2. Books on this list should be those read for pleasure. These need not be titles we've for class although there may be overlap. For example, All the Light We Cannot See might be a title we're considering teaching or even currently teach in our curriculum BUT its reading was mostly for pleasure.
3. Voters should be teachers of AP Lit or other advanced (and draining) courses.
4. Please share this group with those you believe might benefit from the encouragement it's intended to provide.
