Oh my goodness, this is too much awesomeness for me to handle right now LMAO! Thank you so much, bookmarking this and going to make note of them on my calendar. Thank you so much for this :)

Looking forward to reading these books - rereading series will only get you so far, I need some fresh adventures with new characters and love interests. :)
I'd love to see Penny Grubb's next novel here. The working title is 'Where there's smoke' and is the fourth Annie Raymond saga.Have a wonderful 2012 everybody!
May all your dreams come true!

Happy 2012!
you can add any you book you feel is missing!
Have to point out, The Distant Shore by Mariam Kobras isn't fantasy of any kind. It's literary fiction. Was this only supposed to be for fantasy books, because the subgenres at the top seem to indicate that...

This is fantastic! Just looking on my phone I see so many fantastic books, I'm looking forward to voting and to adding a few books that I know about, but even more I'm excited to make sure I don't miss any new releases and to discover new authors as well. I can't wait to sit down with my computer and really spend some time with this, fun fun fun! Thank you for inviting me to vote, Larissa!
Cathy wrote: "This is fantastic! Just looking on my phone I see so many fantastic books, I'm looking forward to voting and to adding a few books that I know about, but even more I'm excited to make sure I don't ..."My pleasure Cathy! Very happy you enjoyed it! =D
I tweeted about it too, this kind of list just gets better and better as time goes by and more people come and "play" with us. This is actually why I joined Goodreads in the 1st place, so I wouldn't miss new releases from my favorite authors anymore. But it turned into so much more than I expected, and here's a great example of why, fun and games and friends all wrapped up one useful package :D
OMG I'm with @Diana I want to pick them all XD but in the end I managed to control myself :3 I thought 2011 was the year for big releases but 2012 is even worse, I know I'm gonna end up broke ^_^

Honestly, 2012 is going to be a great year for reading! Although I had to enter them in order, the first 10 are a tie in terms of me anticipating them!!!
Someone listed 'The Guardian' by Sherrilyn Kenyon - this book came out in paperback in Nov. of 2011, so it should not be on this list. (The cover they used is different from the current US cover.)

no problem =D It should be a great reading year! =D
Larissa -I have Librarian status and was able to delete 'The Guardian' by Sherrilyn Kenyon and 'Head Rush' by Carolyn Crane.
I added the following sentence to the heading, under the subheading of 'Let's list our most greatly expected books for this new year!' :

I hope this is okay with you.

its totally ok, though I also have librarian status, but couldn't find where to delete it...
Larissa -Up where it says:
Paranormal Romance
Urban Fantasy
Paranormal YA (edit)
For Librarians, there is an "(edit)" tab. Just click on it.
If The Distant Shore by Mariam Kobras is not PNR, UF or PNR YA, do you want to go ahead and delete that book?

yay! Found it! Thanks!
couldnt find that book though =/ if you have, you can delete it hehe
Larissa -'The Distant Shore' by Mariam Kobras is at #180.
HOWEVER, I am seeing books that have no title [Untitled Dark Novel by Christine Feehan; Untitled (The Guardians, #8) by Meljean Brook; Untitled (The Edge, #4) by Ilona Andrews; Untitled (Cassandra Palmer, #6) by Karen Chance]. I don't think this is fair to other novels.
Can you add to the subheading(under what I added) something like - "All books added must have a title"?
Can you also delete those books (right now, they're at #145, #176, #41 & #45)?

I dont actually agree with that... they don't have titles, but they are UF or ONR and they will be released this year...
Larissa -That's fine with me. (That's why I didn't delete them.)
Did you get The Distant Shore deleted?

hehe cool =D
will do it now...
Carol wrote: "Where is Rebecca Zanetti's "Temped" and "Hunted"? Those would be my #2 and #3!"you can add them! =D
Great list, but the title should say Most Anticipated Books of 2012... not "expected" since this is an "excited for" type list and you don't expect books you're excited for, you anticipate their release.:)

What a great list! I want a time machine so I can get them all now and have enough time to read. I wasn't going to add some steampunk and sfr (science fiction romance) titles but noticed that several books in those categories are already on the list. So I edited your list of genres to include steampunk and SFR. I'm uncertain of etiquette so please let me know if I shouldn't have done that without asking first. Also, if you only want urban fantasy and paranormal, I can remove the titles I voted for.

Thanks!
I wasn't planning having those genres in it and wanted to keep this list focuses on the Paranormal =P
It might be confusing otherwise... let me know the books in those genres you've seen and I'll delete them... there are other more comprehensive lists and I'd rather keep this one all about the paranormal =)
Sorry!
Thanks for the feedback, that's why I asked. FYI, if people aren't certain of a book's genre, the right side of the book's page will list it's genre(s). Here are the titles that jumped out at me as outside the list's genres:
#24 A Million Stars, #38 Alien Diplomacy, #81 Endgame, #131 A Perfect Storm, #207 THe Last Princess, #227 3 Off the Tee, #282 Celebrity in Death.
All these lists of upcoming releases for 2012, including this one, keep increasing my want to purchase list.
This list is intimidating! I now see that I have a lot of reading to do this year- keeping up with my usual series/authors, plus a bunch of new ones! I do see a couple that won't be released until 2013- Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet by Darynda Jones, and On Midnight Wings by Adrian Phoenix has been postponed to a 2013 release.
True Steph! Just one more month for "Lover Reborn"! YIPPEE!! On the same day, "Hunted" comes out and I'm don't know which to read first! Their my favorite writers and I have been waiting for both with equal anticipation. Why the same day?! Then we have Chicgoland and Kat and Bones. It's going to be a good year!
Why is Fair game by Patricia Briggs twice here? Once in the first 100 and then in the 2nd (only it's as two different editions)
Morgana_lefay wrote: "Why is Fair game by Patricia Briggs twice here? Once in the first 100 and then in the 2nd (only it's as two different editions)"Morgana -
The problem must have been from the author having 2 different book covers on this site (the blue one is the UK version - don't know who put it on here {although as a side note, I like it better than the US version}). I have fixed the cover (for the spot 'Fair Game' is at right now - #10 spot).
Larissa - However, I didn't want to delete one of the books since they both have votes - I didn't know if they'd automatically combine into each other, or not. So, I'll let you decide how to handle that (I think the other one is at spot #126).
Lea Ellen {night owl in IL}
As much as I love Tessa Dare's 'A Week to be Wicked', it DOES NOT belong to any of the genres on this list, so PLEASE remove the book from the list ASAP :(
