Alecto the Ninth has been pushed out to 2023, Nona the Ninth is the 2022 book for the series.

I've just deleted about 10 books from the first page of this list that are not scheduled to be published in 2022. Several such as Doors of Stone and Winds of Winter may never appear. Others, including Some Desperate glory, These Violent Delights, Alecto the Ninth have been scheduled for 2023. I am sorry if your favorite is gone--I've been wishing hard for some of these, too. Position on this list is important to writers and books that will actually be published this year, so it's not fair to use up slots high on the list for imaginary books. I have researched every book deleted--a large number of them "untitled."
Christine wrote: "Amari and the Night Brothers (#112 on the list) is middle grade and not YA."It's not a YA specific list. It's only showing as a Science Fiction and Fantasy list.
I just deleted 9 books from this list, all of which were either scheduled for 2023, or not scheduled at all. Doors of Stone, possibly never to see print, was deleted a 2nd time--it's certain not to show up in 2022. It has no scheduled date, but we can hope! I probably missed a few and didn't even try subsequent pages. As I said last time I did this, placement matters to writers and it isn't fair to tie up the top of the list with books that don't meet the 2022 criteria. I very much want to see some of those titles I deleted, but there's always 2023.
