Hi, I'm a Librarian cleaning up lists. Could you please list the non-thrillers that need to be removed?
A Hoppy Reader wrote: "Hi, I'm a Librarian cleaning up lists. Personally, I don't consider any of the books on this list I've read as 'thrillers'...
Thriller is a hard to define genre that is subject to personal taste.I did check for duplicates and remove some biographies, autobiographies, self help, philosophy (mostly New Age) as well as commentary and analysis of various religions; basically anything nonfiction.
A Hoppy Reader wrote: "Thriller is a hard to define genre that is subject to personal taste..."So true...
There are far more than '100 Thrillers to Read in a Lifetime' though but with 20 pages it is almost impossble to clean this list up.
You are only able to add 100 books to any list, even when you are the one creating a list. It is likely that this list contained 100 thrillers when first created, but others have since added more books over time.
I have a theory that this list (and several others that were created in the last month or so and already have thousands of books/votes) are being manipulated by spammers / bots. Is anyone tracking a master list somewhere?Examples:

Good question, I don't know and have never heard of a master list. I've passed on your concerns to the Superlibrarians, hopefully they can help.
Superlibrarians are volunteers, like all Goodreads Librarians, and have no more insight into site functionality than any other Librarians. There are no "master lists", but if you have concerns about spam or inappropriate user behavior on this list or any other, you are welcome to use the Contact Us link on the Help page, or flag the item(s) of concern.

Most of them are lists made by recently created accounts, so probably both.
@Ellen - this list was originally created to spam/promote a self-published book, so unfortunately, most of the "votes" are not real.Unfortunately, while GR seems to have removed most of the spam/. sock puppet accounts, they didn't remove these fake lists. I deleted some of the really bad instances showing up on the first page.
