As much as I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit, I just couldn't top my list with them since elves play one of the smaller roles in the books as far as races go, and faerie folk are absent altogether.

one of the best books ever written about elves and faeries is Elfland by Freida Warrington!

#66 A Game of Thrones/A Clash of Kings...
One of my favorite series, but whyyy is that on this list?? I certainly don't remember any elves or fairies running around the streets of Kings Landing. Maybe someone considers The Others fairies? If so, those are definitely some of the scariest fairies I've seen to date.

Im looking for a book about faeries but I forgot the title and the author. its about two siblings, brother and sister who move to a farm in the countryside(UK i think) and find faeries on their land... I know that's a vague description but I cant really remember the story and wanted to read it again. it is a 'young reader' book.

Wartime

I didn't see this one listed, anyone who enjoys Elf themed books should give it a try. Really epic Dystopian Fantasy story, with Elves at the forefront of its Lore. It's newer, and apparently has a sequel coming out soon.

Besides from that I've always loved Tolkien of course, and Eragon. Because who doesn't love dragons woven so beautifully into the context of a story.

I don’t recall any elves or fairies in either A Game of Thrones or A Clash of Kings at all, much less the books being about them. This should be removed from the list (currently #79)
