Every year I quit on quite a few books as I get bored or annoyed with them. Please list whichever ones you quit on.

I have been quitting a lot of books this year, more than usual, but I have every intent to get back to most of them.

An abandoned book list - just what is needed . There are only three of them that I have read.'A Better Man' which I absolutely loved.
'Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow' which a I started but stopped after about ten pages and thought it wasn't a good time for me to read it.
the Jane Austens - someone i have never really understood why people like her.

I managed to finish Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow but don't know how I did it. I was so annoyed with them by the end of it. I am the same about Jane Austen. I had never read one of her books until I got on goodreads. They are not easy for me. I liked Emma the most! She was so silly and ridiculous.
I do not understand Jane Austen's popularity either!! I've read three of her books, then I DNF'ed Emma, and I have no interest in the rest.
Lol, I am in the process right now of thinning my to-read list, especially the really old stuff that's been on there for YEARS!!! As for books that I am reading, I have no problem DNFing a book that I am NOT enjoying. I read to relax and unwind from my hectic schedule and busy days. The last thing I want to do with my limited free time is spend it reading a book that is either boring the #%!! out of me or annoying the ever living $#*( out of me. JMHO
On another note, you didn't miss much by abandoning Small Town Sins and Verity. However, I suggest you may want to give Daisy Darker another try. It started out kind of slow and a little weird, but by the second half, I was hooked and that ending!!! Holy crap!!! Never saw that coming!

I would not have continued but I was over half way when I got sick of it. When I attempted Fairy Tale I got past page 400 but just could not take one more minute of his endless rambling so I quit but I quit on books constantly. It is normal for me. I like to read only the good stuff.

I will try to keep Daisy Darker in mind. I do like books by Alice Feeney. Thanks for voting.

I also like to read the “good stuff” too Autumn but I feel that if I “abandon” a book, I may miss out on something that could turn around and be worthy of the read!
~☆~Autumn wrote: "So glad that I never feel that way! I can usually tell in the first 2 chapters whether a book is going to be any good or not. This is due to years of reading."I might be bored right away but like I said, I do struggle along! 😂
