Why is Midnight Sun here when it's not even published yet?

Where are Tanya Huff's books. The Blood Books were the first vampire books I ever read.
'Blood Price' and 'Blood Lines' are among my favorites.
I've added them so others can vote! If you haven't read them, I highly recommend the series.

Where are Charlaine Harris's books though? What about Companions of the Night by Vivian Van Vende?
What about Caroline B. Cooney's Vampire Trilogy?
Though I do love Stephenie Meyer's saga/ series.
who knows, though on Stephenie's website it says she's working hard to get it done, she even has the rough draft on the website!!! But it only goes to pg 264!!
I must add Michael Talbot's *Delicate Dependency: A Novel of the Vampire Life.* One of the best I've read, from the 70's and the one and only book by Talbot that's worth reading. (Some authors only have one book in them.) Not easy to find, alas. Lush, with great descriptions, and unpredictable twists. This book must be on the Vampire List!
The Twilight Saga is the best series Ever!!!SM is definitely the best... The books (for me) had the perfect ending and was developed perfectly... leaving one fulfilled but also leaving the book at a point that can end there but at the same time if she wishes to she can continue with the Cullen family...
To the Midnight Sun questions... she has postponed the book indefinitely because of the leak but we the Twilight fans are sure she'll finish it soon!
I just finished Lifeblood, do get yourself a copy as its very classic and you won't be able to put it down. I read it in 3 nights.
RD, I just added Carmilla to this list, so now's your chance to vote for it! (You're right --it well deserves to be on this list, and certainly did influence Stoker when he wrote Dracula.) You can actually add books yourself as well; just enter the title of the one you want to add in the search box at the right-hand (as you face the screen) top of the list's first page. That will bring up one or more hits, and you click on the "vote" button for the right one.
Janepage and Suzy, I checked just now, and somebody has already deleted Anne Frank's book from here. If they hadn't, I would have. :-)
Ive not read 46 out of the 122 Books. And I agree why is Midnight Sun on here and it has yet to be published ?
Beau, I think one purpose of these lists is to serve as a resource where people can find recommendations for books they haven't read, in genres that interest them. So if one uses a list in that way, the more unread books on them, the merrier! :-)Midnight Sun isn't published in print (and isn't finished yet, as I understand it), but what's written so far can be read online, so it's "published" in that sense. I haven't read it myself (I don't like to read large blocs of text in the electronic format), but many people have --including my oldest daughter-- and are quite excited about it, so I can understand why someone might have wanted to list it here. The Goodreads record will no doubt indicate what format it's in and that it's not fully finished, so a person can make his/her own judgment about whether or not to read it.
I absolutely loved The Strain. I strongly recommend it if you like vampire themed books. Beware, it's not a tame "Twilight" vampire book!
I have only read one of these books. Vampire stories aren't my 'thing'
My novella Lifeblood, on the list above, has been marked as to-read by 215 people; but since the publisher went out of business, I know that most of you haven't been able to get it through normal channels. So I felt that it might be appropriate to mention, for any of you who are interested, that until I can find a new traditional publisher, I've brought out a self-published edition, printed by Lulu. It has the same text as the original --just not the pretty cover art. To order the paperback edition, the list price is $9.87, and the URL is: http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback... . (S & H varies with your selected method.) Lulu also offers the "download" version, which I believe is the e-book though I don't have any other information about it, for $5.00. (For those of you who prefer to do your reading through your local library, this book probably won't be on the shelf, but you can get it by interlibrary loan. Just tell your local librarian that it's in World Catalog and several OCLC libraries have it; he/she will be familiar with those terms.)To answer a couple of frequently asked questions, no, this book is NOT currently available on Amazon, because the current edition doesn't have an ISBN. (Amazon has an entry for this edition, but if you click on it, their link is dead.) Also, if you want your local bookstore to special order it for you, you can give them the above URL; but some stores may not want to do so, because Lulu will charge them list price without giving a bookstore discount.
My apologies if anyone feels this post is off-topic, or too self-promotional! It takes forever to message 215 readers individually; so I thought this mode of communication might be more practical. :-)
To update my preceding message just above, I have now found a new traditional publisher for Lifeblood (so have discontinued the self-published edition that was available on Lulu). My new publisher is Inked in Blood, and for now the book is available only from their website, as a trade paperback. The list price is $14.95, and the URL where the book can be ordered is:http://inkedinblood.webs.com/apps/web... . (Here's the Goodreads link: Lifeblood)
Twilight is good but its not the best ever. Ive read ALOT better. Now dont say im a hater because i love the books i own them but i just think there are better books out there
Oops! I'm really sorry to have to announce that last evening, I was made aware that Inked in Blood is a fradulent scam operation, operated by a con artist and plagiarist with numerous aliases who's notorious for preying on the writing community. Needless to say, I've told him to remove Lifeblood from his site. So, any reader who's interested in this book should most definitely NOT purchase it from that site. My sincere apologies, to everyone who uses this list for book information, for my previous post!
One more update on Lifeblood, if anyone happens to be interested: the e-book version has now been released (this time by a real publisher). Trestle Press is now selling it for $2.99 on Amazon, for the Kindle (it's also available, or soon to be, at Barnes and Noble for the Nook, Smashwords, and similar venues). The reprinted print edition is expected to be out later this year.
Katherine, I think listing the Anne Frank books must have been somebody's idea of a joke (he/she pulled the same stunt once before, as well). I've just deleted both of them; thanks for letting us know about it.
I'm sorry to announce that my vampire novella Lifeblood is no longer published by Trestle Press (long story!), so presumably is again out of print. Sorry if this is disappointing to anyone! If and when it comes back into print, I'll post a notice about it here.
Lifeblood is now back in print, in both paperback and e-book formats, as of June 15! It's now published by World Castle Publishing, and is available from the publisher, from Amazon, Ingram, Barnes and Noble (for the Nook), etc. The list price is $10.99 for the trade paperback, and $3.99 for the e-book. (I hope this will be the last update on its availability that I have to make, for a loooong time! :-) )
Suzy wrote: "Janepage wrote: "Why is Anne Frank on here??"Clearly, Anne Frank was a vampire.

no. Anne Frank was Jewish, not vampiric. Judaism culture does not actively perpetuate the vampire myth anyways. vampires are christian creations.
Could the moderator of this list please remove my title, The Lamb Of God. This is a dark Gothic horror, not a vampire book. Thanks.
Could the moderator please also remove my title, Orchid. This is a horror short story. Some well-intentioned soul has incorrectly added these two titles.
Shane, any Goodreader who has "librarian" privileges can remove these books, since you've verified that they aren't vampire books. But do you have the numbers for these books on the list? If we have that information, it makes it a whole lot easier, on a list this size, to find the books and remove them!
Hi WernerIt seems Orchid is no longer on the list. The Lamb Of God has the number #18342958. I can understand the confusion of whoever added it as The Dracula Chronicles don't become vampire novels until #6. Prior to that they're straight dark Gothic horror. So the titles I have at number 10 and 11 on the list ARE valid here.
Shane wrote: "The Lamb of God has the number #18342958". Uh, Shane, according to Goodreads, there are only 313 books on this list (not more than 18 million!)....
