Sci-Fi Romance about Learning Alien Culture/Language (11 books)

There are a heap of sci-fi romance book lists out there. This one is for a specific style of romance.

To add to this list, a book must:

- Focus more about alien culture and life rather than action scenes and spaceship battles.
- Romance is NOT the only focus of the story, it is a sub-plot.
- Slow burn romance. Preferably the couple won’t get together until 70% mark, or possibly the sequel.
- Low spice level.
- First contact stories welcomed.

DO NOT ADD BOOKS THAT…
- Sex is a large part of the story. Not looking for erotica.
- Have bare chested men on the cover. Those books are great, but are already heavily represented in book lists.
- Have frequent action/fight/chase/survival scenes. Some action is fine, but not a main feature. Again, I enjoy those books, but that’s not what this list is for.
