These are books in which scarecrows are the antagonists or are the primary fright confronted in battle. The scarecrow horror genre is relatively niche, or at least in books, so it hasn't been used a whole lot, but since the creepy scarecrow is such a good horror character, here is its most-deserved honorary category! Please list only scary scarecrows, which can include of the type supernatural, demonic, illusionary/mimicked, once-human etc. however, to keep the integrity of this list please DO NOT list stories where there is just a human being referred to as (a) "scarecrow", or where the scarecrow-thing character is only minor to the story or with scarecrows that just aren't scary.
