Wonderful list of books, but needs updating....I do not see the new novel, EXPEDITION INDIGO BY: STACY ALLEN
It is new but good.

I am just beginning to read Clive Cussler book and they are amazing so far what I've readed.

I totally agree. I'm not sure if there is anything "Treasure Hunter Thriller" about Jane Austen's novels.

Taylor Buck's THE MEDICI LETTERS is a perfect fit for this list. A Treasure Hunt Thriller indeed!

Honestly, what is Tolkiens The Hobbit doing on this list? Yeah, they are searching for a treasure, but it's not a thriller, more like your classic fantasy adventure.

ALEX HUNT and the Chase for Rhapta - A Relic Chaser Adventure

Hi Goodreads Community,

I am hoping to rediscover the title of a novel which has evaded me for many years. The plot centres around an artefact which reveals hidden knowledge concerning the relationship between sound (specifically an ancient language) and creation. The final few pages also contain a revelation concerning the identity of the biblical character of Moses. 

I would like to know if this book matches the plotline described? Thank you in advance

I read an interesting article by Amanda Smith today that made me think differently about Outback Odyssey and the comparison with To Kill a Mockingbird.

The two stories are obviously very different, but Amanda looks beyond that and explores something they may share — what happens when people begin to question the assumptions they have grown up with and start seeing others differently.

One line particularly stayed with me:

“They take very different roads, through different countries, histories and cultures. Yet perhaps they lead us towards the same place: a greater understanding of people we once saw only from a distance.”

I thought that was beautifully put.

I voted for Outback Odyssey because the treasure isn't quite what you expect. There is a very real mystery and search running through the story, but somewhere along the journey you begin to wonder whether the treasure means something else entirely. What Jimmy finds in the outback may ultimately be far more valuable than what he went looking for. I won't spoil it, but that deeper meaning was one of the things I enjoyed most.
