Lewis is perhaps best known for his Narnia novels, but he wrote far more works of non-fiction ranging in subject matter from philosopy and theology to literary criticism.

Which Lewisian works are your favourites, and are there are any you love that are not included here?

Kevin Sorry Anna, I have not read any of these; I was mainly Tolkien rather than Lewis.

message 2: by Rosanne (new)

Rosanne Lortz Another good one to put on here is The Abolition of Man, his essay on education.

Never read Tolkien myself, but will do so at some point hopefully.

Hey that's OK."

Always meant to mind; Do you know 'Out of the Silent Planet'?

English Always meant to mind; Do you know 'Out of the Silent Planet'?"

Yes, it was part of his Cosmic Trilogy but I have not read it. As you can probablty see from the list I am more keen on his theological/philosophical works.

Michelle Griep The Screwtape Letters are my personal favorite.

I've also read his sci fi trilogy and liked it as well.

I read the 'letters' several years ago, but I also like 'The Problem of Pain' because of some of Lewis arguments on forgiveness, and really most everything he wrote except 'The Great Divorce'.

I have never read 'The Cosmic trilogy' though.

Same here.

Robyn Ellis This list seems to have gone a bit wonky. The Screwtape Letters and Pilgrims Regress are fiction and several of these book aren't by Lewis at all

message 11: by Robyn (new)

Robyn Ellis The Great Divorce is also fiction

Yes, I've just checked it and I can see that :(
Sadly, I don't know of any way to delete those books, or else I would have done long before now. It looks like the original voter has to do it.

message 13: by English (new)

English Someone has added a load of books by Bill Johnson, which have nothing to do with Lewis.
