Story-Driven Monster Romance (12 books)

Struggling to find monster romance that fit my interests, so I'm making this list.
Here are the rules:

- The spouse must be as monstrous in design as possible, yet still be compatible with humans (Example: The Duskwalkers from Duskwalker Brides, and the Vrix from The Spider's Mate trilogy.

- No Shapeshifters.

- No 'turns into a handsome human prince or princess' ending.

- No toxicity (if possible cause toxic relationships are rather difficult to pin down).

- Story, character, and world-building must always come first.
