How about a list for angels? Is there one?
I don't know, Alice. If not, you could start one.You could try looking up "angel" in the search engine for Listopia.

I checked and there are two but they are YA fantasy. I am thinking real angel encounters so I started one and put my favorite angel book at the top - Meetings with Angels by Dr. H. C. Moolenburgh. I often think of angels and fairies being similar. I have a video about them and the fairies of plants are called divas.

Based on an old Scottish ballad about a young knight who becomes the lover of the Queen of Elfland, The Ballad of Young Tam Lin https://www.createspace.com/3661637 (or a Kindle) has as many fairies and elementals as you could wish, along with a touching human romance. Not recommended for those who don't know (or imagine) what true love is.
Why does it seem all fairy stories are about evil fairies? How boring. Any specifically not about that?
Sofimannet wrote: "gross horror n/a?"I think anything dealing with fairies would work, it doesn't specify.
Mortal Instruments isn't about faery O_o
Shanna wrote: "Why does it seem all fairy stories are about evil fairies? How boring. Any specifically not about that?"Puck of Pook's Hill
I haven't read Wondrous Strange yet, but doesn't it sound a lot like Wicked Lovely? And the authors both have alliteration names... wierd.... Not so much the plots but the titles. Wicked Lovely just sounds better haha
Shanna wrote: "Why does it seem all fairy stories are about evil fairies? How boring. Any specifically not about that?"I like Seanan Mcguire's series "Rosemary and Rue" which is book one.
The Need series by Carrie Jones is really about pixies but i guess it's subjective if you consider them faeries or not
♥jezeвel wrote: "Mortal Instruments isn't about faery O_o"Well faeries appear in the books, even though the main focus of the series isn't faeries.
Im looking for a book about faeries but I forgot the title and the author. its about two siblings, brother and sister who move to a farm in the countryside(UK i think) and find faeries on their land... I know that's a vague description but I cant really remember the story and wanted to read it again. it is a 'young reader' book.

Gabby wrote: "Thank you so much! This list is really helpful!"If you are still checking this topic, I was surprised not to see the books below on the list- they are really good and all about the fae- I will add them, but since they are new they will be at the bottom of the list. Good hunting!
Hot Lead, Cold Iron
The Sweet Scent of Blood
Sixty-One Nails
The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic
The Hum and the Shiver
This Case Is Gonna Kill Me
War for the Oaks
Summer Knight
Of the top dozen, I only really like Shakespeare and Fever. It's a subject that really should inspire greatness, but oh well.
If anyone can help me I will be incredibly grateful. There was I book I started reading back in 2010 that was published by HarperTeen. I don't remember the name of the book or the cover or the author (Hopeless I know) but I remember it had a fairy plot and the main character was a boy, dark skinned, British. In the beginning of the book he takes a train from the city (London I think) to the country side to visit someone, it might have been his grandfather but I can't remember. he arrives there and notices strange events that lead up to fairies.I hope someone can help despite my incredibly hopeless description.
I don't know that book, but there is a really great site, Stump the Bookseller through Loganberry Books, the site is specifically for this: to look for books by description, without always knowing the title or author. Give them a try: http://www.loganberrybooks.com/stumpt...
This is a great list. I am looking for a series I read a couple years ago and can not remember the name of. Does this story line sound familiar to any one? Young woman lives on the top floor of a house with two best friends, one is a male fae and girlfriend who is a lawyer. She has a cat, can go into the fae releam via a bar downtown. She falls for a fae and learns that she is the desendant of a powerful house. I think that is about it but I can't remember exactly everything. Thanks for any help!
Happy faery reading!!
