Lee I must say Bettie, you come up with the most original ideas for lists!
Your dishcloths will be winging their way towards you by the weekend. :-)

*pulls forelock* Thankee dear one, I am looking forward to their arrival. Your sockies must be panting their way up your street in grim determination to be with you as we speak.

Hayes's pair was the first to destination but gravity played a part in that journey as she is in Italy. lol

Bettie 'Sleeping with Strangers' entry made me laugh.

...ew!

"Hayes's pair was the first to destination but gravity played a part in that journey as she is in Italy. lol"

and lovely they are too... although still a little warm to wear them here in the sunny south!

I can't wait, my feet have been cold since September. Lucky Hayes in Italy!

Libbeth has just received hers too. Lee, do you still go walking out and about because I can make you a sturdier pair to go inside your walking boots if you wish - I'll swap you for one of those crotcheted floppy hats or more squares. *tilts head in a pleading fashion*

message 18: by Lee (new)

Lee Hmmmmmm, I can always use warm socks for our lovely (brrrrrrrrr) Canadian winter.
I can attempt a hat for you. What colour? Same style as that funky thing I made for Mags? I'll try to make it a wee bit bigger.

Yeah - funkeh hatz exchanged for tootsie warmers, bargain, the same as Maggies would be brill. Not sure you would have to make it too much bigger - did it fit you snugly? If it did then that's mighty fine for me too. Colour? - leave that to Maggie to decide lol

Thank you.

message 20: by Lee (new)

Lee I can give you the one in the picture. Maggie wouldn't notice and I can make her another. Or you can take your chances with Maggie choosing yarn??? Eeek.

message 21: by Bettie (new)

Bettie The one in the piccie is lovely and it would show up in the forest good enough for the hunters not to shoot me (it's elk culling time again - you call them moose I think)

What colourway does young Mags go for generally?

message 22: by Lee (new)

Lee Oh, so you want it to be BRIGHT. She is kind of unpredictable when choosing colours. Her favourite colour is green so that wouldn't help you from being shot in the forest. Let me see what I have in my stash. And you want it to be snug? Not floppy?

message 23: by Bettie (new)

Bettie Snug fit with ultra fer-loppy rim - but I say that the one you've already made would do just fine and dandy if you are sure no-one would miss it's disappearence.

We've just had an elk(moose) moment - the hunters scare (obviously) the älg and they come into the garden and just 'happen' to knock apples off - there must have been at least three lurking there in the dark because I heard one running away to my left, one scrambling to cross the brook and another heading off right down the drive. Aubery barked SO ferociously from behind my legs.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Alas, I couldn't find any I'd read with Diet Coke in the title.

Yes it would be a snug fit, the brim is not that big though. I think there is a picture of me wearing it from behind on ravelry. I can send you that one, I may check with M. first. That's neat about the elk in your garden.

Lee Susanna wrote: "Alas, I couldn't find any I'd read with Diet Coke in the title. "

Ewwww!

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads I am a sad, sad addict.

message 28: by Rainbowheart (new)

Rainbowheart Is there any particular reason why Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is on this list? I've never thought of chocolate as a breakfast food?

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Hot chocolate?

message 30: by Rainbowheart (new)

Rainbowheart Ah, maybe! I've never thought of hot chocolate as a breakfast item, either, but perhaps some people do. I saw the title and was thinking of chocolate bars, lol.

message 31: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl A. Lots of people skip breakfast, or have leftover pizza for breakfast, or exercise or meditate before breakfast... the description of this list is very open...

I, personally, don't like the idea of tea-time books being included just because some of us drink tea for breakfast. Tea time is afternoon....

Anyway, the reason I'm commenting is because I want to make sure that Sunshine by Jan Ormerod is on the list and I don't know how to effectively look through over 400 books....

message 32: by Rainbowheart (new)

Rainbowheart I don't think Sunshine has been added yet. I checked here and didn't see it.

I'd add it myself, but I'm already at the 100 vote limit. I ran out of room before I could add all the other breakfast foods like bagels, croissants, and muffins, lol.

message 33: by Cheryl (last edited Feb 27, 2019 06:55PM) (new)

Cheryl A. Ok, thanks for checking, I'll add it now. :)
That's a clever way to check, thanks for the tip!
