It belongs on this list even more than that. It is essentially a Cliffs Notes version of the bible which, as of this writing, occupies three (3) different spots on the list, depending on which version you choose. So, why not this version? It can save people a lot of time -- time they can spend reading The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

How about the "big penis book"? I know some people worship them, but...

You did not ask me, but here's the answer: The Qur'an, the pure & untampered.
I add my surprise at what some people consider to be holy books. Also, No 1 is the King James Bible LDS Version - I don't think most of the voters saw or understood that LDS means Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church).
Part of the problem with that LDS edition is that at one time it was combined with all other bible editions, so if you shelved any of those other editions, now it looks like you shelved the LDS edition. (This is a problem larger than just Listopia voting.)

The KJV "sans LDS" is back now as a separate book, though (currently no. 25), so you can remedy your vote if you still want to! :)
God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, (at number 10 on the list as I post this) would seem from its title to not be a holy book.
Man 90% of these books don't belong on here. All the anti-religios books need to go and hate to break it to people, but Plato didn't write religious scripture and neither did Ayn Rand. Please do remove all non religious scripture.
What a weird list, fiction, strange cults, satantic manuals, mutilated bibles, all mixed with false phophets, and one or two real picks. I completely agree with Andrew.
Not as bad a list as I expected to find - clearly some maintenance has been done - though some more is needed. I'm thinking removing Dante and the Aeneid is the most obvious.
