From Frodo & Sam to Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser, duos in fantasy are among my favorite reads - let's make a list of the best ones. Hopefully I'll find some new titles to pick-up because of it.

NOTE: When discussing a duo that is in multiple books, please list the first book in which they appear together

Michael My picks are:

- Sam and Frodo (Fellowship of the Rings)
- Locke and Jean (Lies of Locke Lamora)
- Eli and Niko (Legend of Eli Monpress)
- Fafhrd and The Gray Mouser) (Swords and Devilty)

I can't vote for my own books but if I could I would add:
- Royce and Hadrian (Theft of Swords)
- Suri and Minna (Age of Myth)
- Nolyn and Amicus (Nolyn)

Jonty Hollins Sam and Frodo are pretty hard to beat but I loved reading Royce and Hadrian. As soon as I finished the first trilogy I said "I want to know more about their back story", jumped online and saw you were years a head of me so I ordered them all in a heartbeat!

Phil This is a great list! I'm sure I'm forgetting some other top picks, but what immediately jumped out to me as missing (since I just finished the latest book) is Skippy & Joe from Expeditionary Force! Combines military, sci-fi, and fantasy all in one, and I recommend anyone who enjoys a fun adventure to try out Columbus Day, book 1. It may still be free on Audible (how I first got into it). Hopefully I added it correctly.
