Listopia > Marxist Points of Reference
The full reading list, with an introductory explanation and notes is linked. The linked page also specifies particular sections of some of the listed publications to read, or particular versions of them. See comments attached to the "votes" for the books below. Some could only be listed below as wider volumes in which the reading in question was reproduced; again, see comments.
Pretty much all the texts are available online on the Marxist Internet Archive or via the Workers’ Liberty website. Workers' Liberty's study notes and courses cover many of the texts in question. What Is To Be Done? in particular should be read with commentary.
The list is given in order of when the texts were written, if only because the texts document a developing tradition in which later texts build on earlier. It is a long reading list, but not unmanageable: by deliberate choice, most (not all) items here are short pamphlets or extracts. The goodreads list is currently missing the preantepenultimate text, Michel Pablo, World Trotskyism Rearms (1951).
