I agree, Rising (as well as Descending) is NOT a gay merman book. It is a relationship between a male and female. They are on the wrong list.
UPDATES:-Renaming this list to include all LGBTQAI+ merfolk (not just m/m - far too exclusive).
-Removing the books mentioned in the comments. Thanks for your help!
ummm I think this list should have been called H2Omosexuals // haha jk but yeah this is really helpful. I should read a couple of these :-)
Is Keeping Merminia an /m romance? Looks very straight to me, but I might be mistaken.PS We already have Queer Mermaids, so this list then should exclude f/f?

Yeah, looking into Keeping Merminia and I can't locate any LGBTQAI+ related tags/shelves on it... Can anyone confirm?
This list was originally focused to answer a frequent request, but updated to include the entire community. No plans to revert it n_n

TwistedRose wrote: "#60 Your heart will grow and #66 Seafoam and silence is m/f"Thanks for the update! By any chance would either book feature LGBTQAI+ rep of a different sort? (bi/pan, trans, intersex, so on) Just want to be sure before nerfing them from the list.

Seafoam and Silence has an asexual character, and the male love interest in Your Heart Will Grow is trans
An anthology I edited, Love & Bubbles, would be ideal for this list, as we have stories with queer selkies, mermaids, water demons, dolphin shifters, etc.
Frank wrote: "I have a new anthology out now that would fit this list, called Shorts of Mer: A Merman Collection, which has five short stories featuring gay mermen (asexual and demisexual included)."Added :)

Really happy I fell on this list! I practically devoured the Siren Cove series by Claire Cullen, absolutely amazing.
My MM merman romance Escaping the Merman just came out - it would be amazing if somebody could please add it to the list. Thank you!https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
@Aramis,Such an easy thing to do! :D
- Go to the TOP of the list.
- On the right side (just above the very first book on the list) you will see "Add books to the list".
- Click on it and will see "Add books from: My Books or a Search"
- Click on either one and you will see a prompt for "Search" and books on your selves for "My books"
I clicked on "search", entered your name, found the book and clicked on "add the book"
Voila! :D It's added :D
Sometimes it's hard to find your way, if you are not familiar with the site. I had a few things points out to me, too, even though they were staring right into my face ;)

Hi M'rella,
Thanks for your help with this.
I tried that but it doesn't work, probably because I'm the author. I've added friends' books to lists before without problem, but I'm not able add my own.
