I'm removing Alex As Well, since the first publication date is 2013.

Hi Philip, that's no problem! I removed them, but a quick note for the future, these YA lists are only for books specifically published for the teenage market. Adult books should not be added. Middle grade is acceptable though, since there are not enough of them for a separate list.
Removed The Automation, which is neither YA nor 2015.Also temporarily removed Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (formerly Virtuoso by Charlotte Hymes), since it's unclear to me why the author has changed the title and author of her book to something incorrect. It can be added back in later if that's resolved.
Removed The Truth About Twinkie Pie. There's one very minor gay character whose sexuality is revealed in the last few chapters - don't think that counts as LGBT "themes." It's also middle-grade, not young adult.
Kate, middle grade is fine for this list. Minor characters are also ok. I want this list to be comprehensive for LGBT themes and characters, so I've added Twinkie Pie back in.Casey, I am still trying to determine if City of Savages has any minor LGBT characters. I did see it listed as LGBT, so I am keeping it on the list for now. If someone's read it and can confirm or deny, that would be excellent!
Understood. Then I would suggest changing the description of the list - it is confusing to those who want to help out with it. The Truth About Twinkie Pie is neither YA nor does it have LGBT themes.
In the interest of space, I didn't add middle grade to the description, but it is in the keywords for the list, and I mentioned above in the comment section that middle grade is acceptable. Twinkie Pie does have an LGBT character, and the list is for characters and themes. Minor is fine, as long as it is established and intended by the author for that character to be LGBT.
Just got confirmation that City of Savages does have minor LGBT themes, so it definitely belongs on the list. Thanks everyone for helping out! :)
I added some books all the way at the end that I feel belong in the top 10. They are books by David Levithan, who writes every book with a gay character. (And I added his and John Green's book Will Grayson, Will Grayson that's also about gay guys)
Hi Marmalade, this list is only intended for books with a first publishing date of 2015, so I'm afraid those particular submissions are inappropriate. You might want to add them to a more general list, like this one.... https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6...
Hi, just wanted to say that The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater had its publishing date changed to February 2016.
OK so I've been through all of these books and not one of them are what I'm looking for. This book's about these two women who fall in love (obviously) and the main characters name is Brooke. I've been looking for like a week now and I can't find anything about it. The girl Brooke falls in love with someone who owns a pet store and that's how they meet Brooke takes her moms dog there (i think its a Chihuahua or something idk if that will help) Brooke also thinks shes straight until she meets the store owner. The store owner also lives with her gay friend i forget his name but hes pretty flamboyant and stereotypical lol so if any of this info helps anyone find this book please let me know. thanks.
