Please, do not post Fantasy books. A separate list can be created for them.
Not everyone who reads Science Fiction reads Fantasy, and vice-versa.
Please, someone, have the Fantasy titles removed.
Slaughterhouse Five and Snowcrash are not comedic. Can you add Colony by Rob Grant? That was hilarious.
You could vote for it; it's easy to add books to lists. At the top of the list, at the tab next to "all votes."
Bit of selfless promotion here - my first published book on Amazon is 'Intergalactic Terrorist' - it's a space comedy! Please check it out - if you like it, add it to this list! :)http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D5EO4LO...
So, does anyone have a recommendation for a Goodreads group for people that have read and enjoyed a number of the books on this list?Yes I realize the last comment on this was months ago but you never know...

So, responding half a year later... Perhaps you should check out the "Dragons and Jetpacks" group?

Possibly someone on here can help me. I'm trying to remember the author or series title of a comedic sci-fi series that I owned in the early 1990s (maybe around 1992/1993?).There were at least 2 books in the series, maybe more, they were near future (no more than about 1500 years ahead of today and probably less) and they revolved around the adventures of a team of reporters.
I remember that one of the books in the series began with a chap who was both a decorated soldier and a respected artist using some sort of bomb to sculpt a huge statue.
If anybody can enlighten me as to what these books were/are, I'd be very grateful - I've been looking for ages and haven't been able to identify them yet.
Thanks,
Mike
Who was the focus of the book? What was the POV? Plot? Are you sure it was future and not time travel or alternate history? Were the journalists the main story or just the scene you remember? Did they travel the galaxy? Similar planet? Could it have been short stories or pieces for magazines that became full novels a la Retief or Sector General? Were they reporters aka this is Jane from team xzy news channel 9, or journalists? Was it sci-fi or possibly fantasy?
