You know, this will be a hard list to create...can't remember any book - I know I read some hot solo scenes, but I don't have the slightest cue from which book...

Yet these are exactly the scenes and books I'm looking for!

This list was provoked by people who tell me that solo-sex-scenes or shower-jerk-off scenes are never hot. I also will have to rack my brains, I know I have read a lot more nice jerk-off scenes than just the two in Uneven. But I want to gather a list of them sort of to show that solo-sex doesn't have to be awfully written or boring.

Just like you, I know that I read more than one masturbation scenes. But in which books? That's the question. I can tell though that's not because they were not hot that I don't remember in which book.

The problem is that most of the time, I read D/s books in which the subs are under that stupid "don't touch yourself" law. lolll And Dom never masturbates themselves in those books. I have to find other erotic books that I read or story of brats cheating.

why would they be cliche...? people dont masturbate in real life? i am not that familiar with M/M readers thinking and mindset so maybe that is why i am confused about why anyone would dislike a masturbation scene... anyway, i added a book. After Midnight had a very sexy scene where the MC masturbates while someone else looks on. It's the only one I could think of off hand...

Great idea for a list. Solos don't bother me like they apparently bother some, especially if it works with the character - yes, because I need to sound highbrow re solos. ;) :p

@Maralyn: I have no idea. There are several readers/reviewers who read lots of M/M (as in triple my input) and claim that masturbation solo in the shower is cliché and a reason to downrate or dislike a book.

I actually LIKE reading well-written masturbation scenes, because they can give you deep insights into the man masturbating and into his sexuality. So this list is an attempt at finding good ones :)

Exactly, same here. And I'm sure it's just by chance in the books I've read, but I can't even remember a shower scene - maybe in His Roommate's Pleasure ?. Most of the ones I can recall have either included someone else there watching, or when the character is actually alone and remembering something or someone that either gets them hot or causes a need to do something to forget a bad experience, just for a moment, a comfort.

Late to this but I will have to go check. I know Cameron Dane has solo scenes in nearly every book - before the MC's get together. Some are kind of formulaic (a sort of fantasty sequence where it is as if they are having sex) but some have been hot.

There is one solo scene that I loved - adored actually. I can't remember the book but I'm going to have to trawl my kindle because I loved that scene.
