Oops, I voted for some you'd done, Natasha! So we have a few overlapping.... Oh well, I guess.

That's okay Britt! Overlapping is fine, it will just show them as having more votes and move to the top of the list.
Hi! I'm sure I added some that were overlaps as well. Natasha, I tried to add authors from the bottom of our Google Doc. list up. I hope it worked! :)
So, if I add some you guys have already done, will it just add a vote for that book, and not actually duplicate the book?
Right. My thought was, though, that since we're limited in how many times we can vote, the fewer overlaps we have, the more books we can add.
:)
Quick question. I know two or three authors who are currently living in Utah, though their bio on their book says they are living somewhere else. Should/could I add them to the list?
I would go ahead and add them to the list Debbie. Perhaps leave a note here on who they are so we're note confused as to why they are on the list.
Wow. I had no idea how many Utah authors there are! I think I'm going to challenge myself to read all of these!
Cindy wrote: "So do we vote for the ones we think are good or what?"You get 100 votes total. So that or use them to add in books that you are aware of by Utah authors that currently aren't on the list.
Jesse wrote: "How in the world was "Inkheart" written by a Utah author? I thought she was foriegn."I agree. Is there a way to remove books from the list that obviously don't belong onit? Funke is German.
Hmmm . . . great question. I believe only those with "librarian" status can remove books from lists. So I can't do it. I believe that if you added a book yourself you can delete your "vote."
I take that back, I figured it out. So, I removed Inkheart. Any others which absolutely don't belong on the list?

Thanks so much!
Just finished 2 more Utah author books so I added them here: Farm Fresh Murder and As I Have Loved You. TOTALLY recommend both.
Allison wrote: "um... I thought that Becca Fitzpatrick lived in Colorado...?"That is what the bio on her website says...
How do you define Utah author? Do they have to be born there, live there currently or have lived there in the past?
Melody wrote: "How do you define Utah author? Do they have to be born there, live there currently or have lived there in the past?"I define it as someone who is published and currently living in Utah. It looks like people have added to this list without quite knowing that definition!
Melody wrote: "How do you define Utah author? Do they have to be born there, live there currently or have lived there in the past?"I'd say any and all of those apply.
I signed up & I cannot add a book by title or author. Do I have to scan the cover...having a hard time navigating the home page. Thank you!
Judith wrote: "I signed up & I cannot add a book by title or author. Do I have to scan the cover...having a hard time navigating the home page. Thank you!"Adding to this list? or too Goodreads itself? You have to have "librarian" status to add to Goodreads. To add to this list, the book already has to be in the system and then you can add it.
I feel like people are adding whatever they want to this list. How the heck did C.S. Lewis end up here?
Kami wrote: "I feel like people are adding whatever they want to this list. How the heck did C.S. Lewis end up here?"I have no idea. I guess these lists can get a little crazy since no one really moderates them. C.S. Lewis wrote religious books, right? Therefore Utah of course! I mean... right? LOL.

C.S. Lewis is not from Utah. Sorry, Narnia.
