Thanks, I can't take all the credit, Katie helped me research the books and figure out which ones were eligible. Also, we've created a fun Facebook and Twitter page, come check us out and help spread the word about the Swoonys!
Thank you so much! This is a go-to list of clean books I don't have to worry about getting half way through and closing or deleting because of content!
I've seen one Christian Romance that definitely deserves to be included, but are we including that genre? If we are I've definitely got a few more amazing books that aren't preachy that I'd love to add.

Hey everyone! I hate to be a stickler, but just wanted to do a reminder that only books published during 2014 are eligible for nomination. We went back and forth on this for a long time, but decided in the long run it would be better to just do awards for the current year. We felt that this would make it more fun each year and provide a new list of awesome books without getting the same ones over and over. Thanks!
So excited to hear about this! What a great idea. Can't wait to hear who wins ;) So many good books.
I nominated "The Girl Who Came Home" by Hazel Gaynor. It was initially published as a Kindle book, in digital form only in 2012 by the author. It was published by William Morrow in 2014.
Which date are you using?
The most current publication date. There are quite a few on here that have been re-released in 2014. :)
Kathy wrote: "The most current publication date. There are quite a few on here that have been re-released in 2014. :)"It has 2 listings here. 165 and 64.

I'm so sorry! I remember removing Unlovable since it was published in 2011, but I don't remember removing Unbearable. I must have done so by mistake. I've put it back on the list.

Don't bother. I've lost all my votes.
(Sidenote: there are so many books on this list that I haven't even read/heard of! Where does one even start??)
Deborah wrote: "(Sidenote: there are so many books on this list that I haven't even read/heard of! Where does one even start??)"I know Deb, it's been so fun finding new books to read. I hope it'll be a good reference for anyone looking for fun, clean reads! :)
I'm aware of hundreds(?) of Christian authors, but I am so excited to have a list of clean secular reads! I hope that each year's list will be archived so that after each year is over we will still be able to see that year's best, as decided by the members of this group. What a resource!
I just wanted to stop by and say, THANK YOU! to everyone contributing to the list. My readers ask for more clean secular books all the time. I've shared the link here for them to start grabbing your recommendations.:)
So many wonderful, clean books to choose from. Thank you to the authors. Thank you for giving us this list.
I have been reading down the list and found a book that does not fit the requirements. Shattered, Stolen Breaths #2, (#81 on the list) is a good book, but it DOES have intimate scenes and serious language. The characters have used the f-word at least 2 dozen times. Stolen Breaths #1 is great and fits the requirements, #2 does not. I don't want someone to be caught off guard. I love this list and enjoy knowing I can read these books and not be caught off guard. So, THANK YOU THANK YOU for the list.
Thanks so much Annalise, I would have missed that one. I've heard the first book was clean so I assumed the second one would be as well. That's a shame. I'll definitely remove it from the list. Thanks again!!!
I love Julie Lessman's novels but there are two on the list that weren't released in 2014: Love at Any Cost and A Love Surrendered.
Thanks Brittany! I try and check the list every few days for new additions, but may have missed these ones. :)
Hey Kathy, I noticed that one of my older books is on this list (not a 2014) so I thought I'd scroll down and see any I knew off the top of my head are old too. Here's a list that I saw that I knew aren't 2014s (and I put the # so you knew approx where it is in the list since I know it changes.)A Bride for Keeps 168
Blowing on Dandelions 84
Veil of Pearls 112
The Doctor's Lady 119
A Daughter's Inheritance 123
Love's Reckoning 127
Love's Awakening 130
It Happened at the Fair 268
Courting Cate 328
A Highlander for Christmas 396
Thanks Melissa!! When I'm on the computer next I'll take those off (I'm on my phone right now). I try and keep track, but some slip through and some get re-added after I remove them. :)There is one book I've had to remove at least 10 times. :)
