This list is for ROMANCES with a MAGICAL element in the Adult or New Adult categories. Some of these books may ALSO contain Time Travel, Talking Animals, Elves, Witches, Wizards, Fairies, Fairy Tale creatures, or other fantastical elements, as long as they came about through or because of MAGIC

This list is NOT for books primarily about Vampires, Werewolves, Gargoyles or other paranormal creatures. There are many lists on Goodreads for Fantasy, Paranormal or Supernatural fiction. This one is only for Romance + Magic.

Psychic powers, mutants, time travel or time slip novels without magic, and magical realism, DO NOT qualify for this list. Susanna Kearsley writes great books, but they're time slip and don't have magic, so stop adding them to this list. I love Alice Hoffman, but she writes magical realism, and not all of her books have straight up magic in them or have romance as the central focus. This goes for Sarah Addison Allen too, as she writes magical realism and her books are not romance centered.
