It is all a matter of opinion. And taste, I might add.

I voted for Pride and Prejudice, as to me it certainly counts as romance, even though that is not the reason I've read it (I read it because I just love Jane Austen's sharp wit). But I've also read Vijftig tinten grijs / Fifty Shades of Grey even though I won't vote for it, as to me it is just utter rubbish and probably one of the worst novels ever written.... But as I said earlier, it is all a matter of opinion, as I know people who consider Fifty shades of grey one most of the romantic novels there is (which is fine by me, as they are entitled to their opinions as much as I am entitled to mine).

So let's respect each other's opinions and agree to differ...

I've just removed 25 (!) duplicates, by the way. And I did notice that the list contains an awful lot of books by Goodread authors, so maybe this is a case of spamming...?
