Books you just can't get enough of. Maybe you read them two or three times... maybe even more than five times!

I don't think i've ever re-read something - and if i have then i cannot remember (musrt've been quite young) i tend to move on, i see books as a conquest - i love them but i want to finish ALL of them up :D(I loved Alice and Through the looking glass....esp the last one :D)

Its really short and I finished it in a day or so. I do agree with you though. There is something magical about reading books for the first time. Its just not the same a\the second time since you know what will happen.
i am a voracious reader w/o enough to read, so i've read almost every book i've ever read twice or more!!(and a list of 100 books isn't really long enough to put up all of them.)
I love reading books I have enjoyed twice or more. The second time is even better than the first, because you know you're going to enjoy yourself! I don't even mind reading crime/mystery books again. Who cares if you know from page 1 who the murderer is? The pleasure is in the journey, not the destination.

I've re-read a ton of books, but I'm listing only those that I have re-read at different points in my life & that are ones that really leap to mind as great reads for whatever reason -- sometimes just because they're fun.

Good books are like good friends - you want to visit them again and again.
Adam Nicke, his work should become a must read amongst gothic writers. Any one thinking the real authors of classical horror and true depth in mood and being a set designer with just words, needs to read his works any of them but my favourite would be Grim fairy tales. A set of shorter tales with moralistic twists. 10 out of 10.

John, if you want them to go on the list, you have to add them. Use the tab at the top of the list, on the right hand side. When you add a new title, it will automatically count as your vote. Don't worry about possible duplications; volunteers like me can deal with those. But only you can cast your own votes.
Some of these books are great, like 1984, but I would never want to read that book more than once. I got the message, I don't want to be kicked in the stomach emotionally again since I already got the message.
