Tacky to create a list to promote your own book.

I did write a book about healthcare, but I am also deeply involved in issues of memoir about healthcare, so I read a lot about them, and I work with many writers who write about healthcare issues. So I think it is not tacky at all to claim my own work as part of a long list that I would like to make longer. The fact that people who saw the list voted for my book and pushed it to the top is something that has nothing to do with me. :) If you'd like to see other books raise up, please organize your friends to vote for and add other books. I also think the wonderful thing about Goodreads is that authors who are also readers and teachers can share expertise and interact with readers, so I'm not sure why you are opposed to that? Thanks so much for your support for writers and healthcare narratives.
