REally Greyweather? Whose to say Oprah really reads those books and doesnt just stick a sticker on there and tell you to read it?
and what makes you think Jon doesn't read his books? He admits, on occasion, to not having read them, but the vast majority of the time his interviews make it quite clear he's read the author's book.

I think I'll echo Jenny on this one. What makes you think he doesn't read them? The major difference between Jon Stewart and Oprah is that Jon Stewart has a new author every other day. Rarely is there a full week of the Daily Show without at least one author, that's a lot more books than Oprah puts on her list so perhaps Jon doesn't read them ALL, who could?
Jon's a reader. Oprah is "too busy" - she probably has people who do the reading for her. Then she gets cheat sheets.
When it comes to a host reading the guests books, does it count if he actually reads the executive summary?
Oprah hires people to read the books for her, hell she can pay anyone to do anything she wants. Jon clearly reads most, if not all of, the authors' books he has on the show. But coming up with new material, setting up all the shit for his show everyday, practicing the show prior to air time, takes time too. It takes quite a man to read four or five books a week at least well enough to have a great intellectual conversation and discussion with their authors. I love Jon Stewart through and through. He can do it all, and he does it all with integrity and a sense of humor.
I'm not sure you can help me but I'm losing hope to ever find that book. I'm looking for a book that appeared in the Daily Show years ago. I can't remember the author or the title (see my problem?) but it was a book about sects, the author went 'undercover' in certain sects and the book is about his experience. I'm sorry if this request doesn't fit here, it's been months I'm looking for it and I just can't find it, so I'm sending a last bottle into the sea.

Removed Fateful Destiny: An Epic Struggle to Change the Course of American History (debut author spamming numerous lists through sockpuppets/alter egos, not been on the Daily Show).
