Harry Potter Series Box Set (Harry Potter, #1-7)
by
"No matter how many times I read this series, the excitement isn't lessened. I still feel like I did when the books first came out, and I sat in my room reading until six in the morning because I had to finish. I still cry when people die, and laugh out loud because the Weasley twins kill me. After at least five times through the entire series, I still have a hard time putting these books down, and I think I always will. "

The Phantom Tollbooth
by
"This book is pure genius. The hilarious characters, the fanciful plot, and the wonderful moral have made this one of my favorite books since childhood. "

The Chronicles of Narnia (The Chronicles of Narnia, #1-7)
by
"This series hardly needs explanation--if you've read it, you know, and if you haven't, DO. It is one of the ultimate staples of young adult/children's literature. I've been in love since my first read in second grade."

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)
by
"This book has something for everyone: It's violent without being gory, which I was afraid of; there's a love story, but it's about as un-sappy as you can get; there's politics and ethics and philosophy and rebellion and just a really excellent story."

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
by
"This book has one of the sweetest, most honest protagonists I've ever read, and his story is amazing. He faces a lot of really serious issues in his life, which have gotten this book on the banned books list for several years, but they are dealt with so honestly that it's impossible not to feel engaged. I wish everyone could love this book as I do. "

The Goose Girl (The Books of Bayern, #1)
by
"This is the first of the Books of Bayern, which are not exactly a series, but rather a set of books that share characters and focus on different aspects of the same world. "
