Thanks for voting! I plan on adding more books to the list whenever they're added to goodreads. I know there are some others that will be releasing this year. O.O
Sounds fabulous, Winter! I can think of Sarah KL Wilson's Bluebeard Secret and her sequel to Heart of Shadows. I think I saw them up for preorder... so maybe they're here as well? =)
@Winter. xD You're absolutely right! (The cover for the sequel to Heart of Shadows look AMAZING from Amazon/her website tho ^_^)
It does!😍 I haven't yet read any of her books(even though I have some🙈), but that series looks and(by the synopsis) sounds amazing!🤩
@Winter: I've read Stolen Mayfly Bride this year and it's amazing! She really has a unique writing voice/style that I really like <3 I own her Tangled Fae and Bluebeard books too but yeah... haven't read them yet. :P
P.S. Do you want to read any of them together, since it looks like you own some? :) (Or even some other titles... I still have a stack of Shea books to go through =) I buddy read Mayfly Bride last year with a friend and it was very fun!
Sure, that does sound fun! I've got the ebook and audiobook of The Mayfly Bride and I believe the ebook of Fae Hunter. I can also get the Fly with the Arrow audiobook on Hoopla. :DWhat's your TBR looking like? I'm starting Between Kings tonight and have several more books on my Jan TBR. If we have any in common we can start with one of those and if not, I'm good with whatever you think looks the most compelling. ;P
@Winter: AHHHHH I'd just started Between Kings last night! Originally I was planning on reading Gothel and the Maiden Prince but BK came in the mail and I just HAD TO ^_^I've almost everything by WR Gingell, and basically all of the non-fairytale retelling books from KM Shea, all of Sylvia Mercedes ... and the Legends of Abreia books by Kenley Davidson.
TBH I own a lot of books that I've yet to read. xD It looks like we're mainly talking about indies right now.
I also have Rebecca Ross's Queen Resistance duology that I want to read a lot since I absolutely LOVED her Dreams Lie Beneath. =)
Do you want to do Between Kings first?
I'm was in a very similar boat! XD Was planning on reading Bluebeard and the Outlaw beforehand, but Kings came in and I reasoned with myself saying that I would need the fluffy read for after the emotional hurricane that Between Kings is likely to be. ;P *Gothel and the Maiden Prince is amazing by the way* ;D
Do you have K.M. Shea's LitRPG books?*technically under her A.M. Sohma name* I'm gonna be re-reading that series sometime this year in preparation for the 4th book that should be releasing this Fall. *starry eyes*
---of course I need to read her new urban fantasy too <3 <3 <3
^-^ I'll be reading Hidden Queen (Legends of Abreia) this month!
There are a few Mercedes' books that I want to read, but I don't own any as of yet. I've been debating on getting the ebook of Prince of the Doomed City since it's in the same world as her B&B retelling series that I read.
**Just found out my library carries Dreams Lie Beneath and a few others you recommended, so I added those to my Library TBR. :D
@Winter:lol :D Great minds think alike!
I don't. I've never played vid games/Lit RPG. So I wasn't sure if I'd like it/understand it. How much understanding do I need to have to read them?
Oh awesome! I've not read the first two books yet. So I'm not sure how the timing will work out.
I've kinda started on The Sunfire King by Mercedes for the month. I read her first two Venatrix books and The Moonfire Bride and they're okay/good and interesting... but I don't love them. (I wanted to SO badly. Esp. since I love her writing in the Tales of Goldstone as AES.) But I have a good feeling that the Prince of the Doomed City will be a slight change in gears and I'll like those stories more. :)
(O>O That's wonderful!! Feel free to DM me if you want to read Dreams Lie Beneath together. I want to do a reread of that book - or any of those other ones I recommended to you - with someone this year =)

~~None! I knew nothing of RPG gaming when I picked it up. I originally wasn't sure about them either, but I read and loved her Fairytale series' so I figured I'd give it a try and did not regret it! SO much fun! ^-^ Highly recommend!
*sadness* ;)
I had no idea she wrote under AES!! Haven't yet read that series!
I read a few chapters of the first ventatrix book but didn't care for it either. Definitely liked the scarred mage series better. :)
Will do!
@Winter:- Ahh I see! Well, maybe once I have enough saved I shall get those books as well!
Yes! Tales of Goldstone Wood is absolutely the BEST. It's my all time favorite (Christian) fantasy by a living author. I've never been able to find anything that comes close to how amazing it is. The way AES weaves the characters and story-lines is somewhat similar to Gingell's City Between. Also - her writing is very good. =) I'd certainly recommend that you check them out! (The first book, Heartless, is NOT my favorite... but the rest of the series are awesome. Being a debut and all... AES grows a lot as a writer as the series progresses, and it's very nice to see.)
I intend to read the entire Venatrix series sometime. They're sitting on my shelf. I wanted more Terryn. xD
=) <3
