Amanda This is an absolutely impossible decision!

message 2: by Suzy (new)

Suzy I will be glad to discuss any one (or two) of these books!

message 3: by Portia (new)

Portia I voted but I agree that any one of these books is a good choice!

This vote could be a tricky one - I'm all in favour of tactical voting but this time I'm not even sure which ones are in contention!

One day to go, and this is still looking like a close contest, that could still be decided by late votes (or vote changes). You may not all be aware that you can change your vote if it looks likely that your first choice is no longer in the running, and with this many contenders in the race I would urge those of you who have voted for the books with 1 or 2 votes to consider this.

I always want to imagine that there's lots of direct messaging going on behind the scenes, such as, "Hey Byatt voter, if you switch your vote to Atkinson, I promise to vote for your next two open pick nominations. Deal?" I think that's probably just wishful thinking...

I made the choice easy by voting for the only book for which I already had an unread copy. It's not like there are any poor choices above!

I've just deserted my sinking ship! I have nothing against Life After Life except that we discussed it quite a lot during the End of Days discussion earlier in the year, and for me the Pamuk could make for a very interesting discussion - I might even have to re-read it...
