I am currently reading The House of Owls by Tony Angell who is incredible at caring for owls. He just saved a small saw whet owl that had been hit by a car. He knew just what to do. I had previously read Wesley the Owl: The Remarkable Love Story of an Owl and His Girl which I got at Moby Dickens in Taos. These are both excellent non-fiction if you are interested in owls.

My absolute favorite book is Peach Blossom Spring by Melissa Fu, I want everyone to read it. If you want more than one (or you don't like historical fictions that are pretty much nothing but historical fiction) I highly recommend Wilder Girls by Rory Power, any Ann Liang books, Dungeons and Drama by Kristy Boyce, or if you want an older book I highly recommend Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson (that being said I read it as a kid so its been a hot minute so it might not stand the test of time)

For a slow burn romance I recommend Boy Girlfriend on Webtoon (Idk If you have heard of It but It Is Basically a Web Comic app. BGF Is Friends to Lovers)
For a book With lots of smvt I recommend Platinum Blood (A BL Manga set In an Alternate Universe)
For Slice of Life Manga I recommend Kitchen Princess
For Romantasy I recommend Heaven's Official Blessing (There Is a show Version but It Is so much Different from the novels. The novels have actual romance the show has none)
And I also recommend Echo Mountain but Idk what genre It falls under
