Almost all of my inspiration comes while on a sailing trip. Book #2 in the Sim Greene mystery series ("Broad Reach") came to me when a lady approached me at Cooper Island with a passport she'd found in a plastic bag floating in the channel nearby. She ultimately got the lost passport to the police but it got me to thinking and......a mystery story happened!
