Wolfie
Wolfie asked Stacy Bennett:

Which one fiction book, you wish you would have written?

Stacy Bennett I saw this question a few days ago and you have sort of stumped me. One might say something like Harry Potter because who wouldn't want to be so wildly successful. But I don't think that's the kind of answer you're looking fore.

I suppose I could just answer with one of my favorite books (of which there are many). I mean, who wouldn't want to put their name on something beautiful and enjoyable and tantalizing. But truthfully when I really love a book, I bask in it and lose myself for those hours. I have never thought, "I wish I'd written this." And besides, most of these are stories I don't think I could have written. They aren't "me" enough.

If I really search my memory, the only ones that could come close to something I might have written and really enjoyed would be the Faded Sun trilogy by C.J. Cherryh. Those resonated with a deep chord in me. The alien/outsider anthropological stories have always appealed to me and stll do. And I really enjoyed Cherryh's writing.

I hope that's answer enough but thanks for the trip down memory lane. It was fun remembering all the books that I loved, the ones that probably influenced me unconsciously, and may echo in my future stories.
