Love all your books! What was the inspiration for your "Tale of Two castles?" (It's currently my reigning favorite of your books, though really, I love them all.)

Thank you! I wanted to try my hand at a mystery, so I went to my source--fairy tales--to look for one with a mystery at its heart, and that turned out to be "Puss 'N Boots." (There are no witnesses to the encounter between Puss and the ogre.) That was my starting point.

I absolutely love your books and have no idea how many times I've read them over and over again. Honestly I think my librarian thinks I'm bit wacko cause I've read them so much. I was wondering, do you write poetry and if yes what would be your advice to a fairly new poet?

Ok, first off: I ADORE your books! Especially Ella Enchanted. Ella feels like an old friend to me at this point, and her story claims a very large percentage of my original inspiration to begin my writing journey. Second: Would you consider collaborating with other authors in the future? (I personally believe that your writing would blend nicely with Jennifer A. Nielson's.)
