I've had a couple animals in my life who seemed to know more than they should. Who did things that weren't taught and couldn't have been instinct. I'm actually already using it as the plot for my next book Old Souls. About animals who are more than animals, and who have been sent by the god of goodness to fight the forces of evil and chaos.
