What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Lyndon Stacey I'm very interested in my family history, though I don't get as much time as I'd like to work on it, and there is one mysterious child who appears as a 6yr old daughter in the 1861 census, just a year after the parents married, and I'd love to know her backstory. Where did she come from? Were her 'parents' really her parents, or was she adopted by them from another family member to give her legitimacy. I'm quite tempted to do a story woven around a genealogical mystery....
