I know the sad history of Zimbabwe; I'm sure it's very hard (and perhaps dangerous?) to write about. My best selling book is The Only Witness, about a signing gorilla who is the only witness to a crime. But because I'm such a hiker and outdoor lover, my favorite series is my Sam Westin series, and the first one there is Endangered, about the search for a missing child in a national park in Utah.
