I write in small scenes, not chronological order. Sometimes I'll be in bed at night, and I'll see a scene for a current WIP or a new book altogether, and I take out my phone and start writing what's in my head at that moment. In the end, I patch my book together like a puzzle, copying and pasting scenes where I think they belong.
