What was your inspiration behind many of characters in the Gray Panthers and their personalities??

David Guenther Many of the characters are a mix of those folks I served with in the military. Growing up around parents and grandparents from "The Greatest Generation" I imagined what they would do if given a second chance. The character Short Blade though was different, I wanted to use him as comedic relief, instead he grew into more than a full character. I'm even thinking of doing a series around him.
