I'm in a book club, and my club is reading the following during the summer: Tomboy Bride by Harriet Bacus, The Rocks by Peter Nichols and Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf. I also hope to catch up on some of my favorite mystery writers' series and some other books on my Goodreads to-read list, such as A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult, and The Emerald Mile by Kevin Fedarko.

I am currently reading A Basket of Trouble and was heartened when in the first few pages I realised that your main character is still married to her husband. I find in a good many of the cozies I read the women are usually hot off a recent divorce or break up from their spouse. This was a lovely change of pace. Really sorry to hear that you're taking a break from writing but completely understand. I'm a new mystery writer and can't believe how much time it takes!
