How do you deal with writer’s block?

Diane Laney Fitzpatrick I find that I get writer's block if I'm spending too much time writing and not enough time doing things to write about. Sometimes a writer must get up from the keyboard, get outside the house and DO something. The longer I'm away from writing, the more I feel like I'm clearing my head and stocking up on ideas. It makes writing so much more productive when I do finally sit down again to write.
