No question to ask?....Really enjoyed listening to this audio book. I am a 2 year breast cancer survivor and its still hard to swallow anything that is cancer related but I'm so thankful that I was given the opportunity to share my experience with others that are affected by any type of cancer. I actually was balling on my way to work as I listened to that tragic moment. I am recommending to all my reading friends.

Oh, Martha, I am so sorry you had to deal with cancer, and so thankful you are a survivor! My sister had lymphoma and has been cancer free nearly nine years now. She told me the other day how much it had changed her outlook on life. I am sure that is true for you, as well.
I am so glad you enjoyed the book and although I hate you cried, I am also pleased that it touched you. Hummingbird is based on a true story and I will miss my friend for the rest of my life.
If you get a chance, check out my new book that just released, The Sweet Smell of Magnolias & Memories. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me!

I wasn't aware that you had lost a friend to cancer, that explains the very human feelings that I receive from Hummingbird Cake,,I had two very close friends die May 21 , 2016 from cancer and reading this book helped release some of the feelings I had been holding inside, plus a lot of tears. This was such a blessing,,,Thank You,,,,I'll look for future books from you ?. Gardening Lady

No question but just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your book. Being a "Girl Raised in the South", I easily identified with the small town environment and the hospitality and friendship. I, too, lost a dear friend to cancer and your book brought back the bittersweet memories in a positive way. I so hope there will be more?
