Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Trey Stone I remember getting the idea for The Consequence of Loyalty, when I was working on my father's farm. I had read that unmotivated crimes are the hardest to solve, so I was thinking what if someone shot someone for no reaon. And what if that person surrendered immediately? And what if that person worked in law enforcement? And what if the person they shot was their friend, who also worked in law enforcement?

That's how it all came to be, and I worked my way through the story from there.
