Doris
Doris asked Lea Carter:

Thank you for your response to my questions and I may become a little bug asking questions for an idea that I am working on. I am an untried storyteller who loves to tell stories and am digging in my brain for the stories that I made up for my children, can I remember them? I have a story coming out that has a potential of becoming a 'series', or trilogy? What format do you use for the start of your story ideas?

Lea Carter Oh, I'm horrible at starting my stories. If I'm feeling particularly enthusiastic, I might jot something down when the idea first occurs, or record it on my phone. But it often takes five or six false starts for me to get from the fact that there's a story to be told to getting it satisfactorily transferred to a Word document. Is that what you meant? If you were asking how I start my stories, it's often with an action scene. I put the main character in a tough spot and they take it from there. I'm not on the internet everyday, but I'll be glad to respond whenever I can. :-)
