Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kay McSpadden My most recent book is "Orphans in the Black: A Space Opera," which is an anthology of science fiction short stories by 19 authors. A successful writer friend put the anthology together and had done all the marketing and promotion legwork, so I can't take any credit for that. The story I submitted, "The Alien," was inspired by the political discussions about "aliens."
